We are pleased and humbled to announce that with the support of over 20,000 donors and counting, the 2022 Catholic Ministries Appeal has surpassed its $5,000,000 goal! From all of us in the Stewardship Department and on behalf of all the ministries supported by the CMA, we say “Thank You!”

As a longtime hospital chaplain, Anne Petratis is committed to meeting the spiritual needs of her patients and their families at the six medical facilities where she serves (Kettering, Grandview, Southview, Sycamore, Kettering Behavioral Health, and Soin hospitals, all in the Dayton area). The past two years of her ministry have been both challenging and rewarding as she and her colleagues in the health care profession have adjusted to the “new normal” brought on by COVID-19.

Catholic Social Services of the Miami Valley (CSSMV) offers a variety of resources to help seniors, from visits to long-term support services. One example, which truly provides a voice for seniors, is the Life Essentials guardianship program.

Their college years can be both rewarding and challenging for young adults amid studying, work, and social activities as they mature personally and spiritually. Catholic campus ministry is there to offer a sense of community and support along the way in the faith-filled hands of Fr. Jacob Willig at the Catholic Newman Center at Miami University; Father Tim Fahey at Wright State University; and Fathers Ethan Moore and Christopher Komoroski at St. Monica St. George Parish Newman Center, which serves the University of Cincinnati.
